Top 20 DIY Projects of All Time: #12 Salvaged Barnwood Headboard

by Grace Bonney

There was a time at Design*Sponge when it felt like every single post I published had some sort of connection to salvaged barnwood. Whether it was a house that used that wood for paneling or a DIY project that turned it into something new, barnwood (and its more controversial cousin, pallet wood) was ev-er-y-where. Today’s #12 spot on the Top 20 DIY Projects of All Time list is from 2011 and uses salvaged barnwood to create a DIY headboard that can easily be customized in a wide range of sizes or with paint/stains to make something really special. If you’re looking to add a little DIY flair to your bedroom, give this project a whirl! xo, Grace
